Distance Education
K-State has been giving Kansans-and now, the world!-the very best formal distance education since 1974. And in fact, from the earliest days of the 20th century, when an evening with the radio tuned to K-State broadcasts was required listening for farm families across the state, K-State has a great track record of providing education to people when and where they need it.
You can take courses when and where it is convenient for you-over the Internet or on CD, over your lunch hour or on a plane, early in the morning or late at night. We are committed to responding to student needs in our course offerings, services, and methods of delivering courses.

Intersession
Intersession is a special time at K-State - the weather is great, parking is easy, and life on campus and off campus is extremely pleasant. Intersession is an excellent way to take classes; it allows the student to pursue one class intensively, without interruptions and demands of other classes or other campus activities. The relaxed atmosphere of the campus is a perfect setting for a highly concentrated class and some classes are now online. Classes usually meet for three to four hours a day, providing time to focus on a subject in depth.
Perhaps the most attractive feature of Intersession is the opportunity for students to concentrate on one class at a time while earning extra credits to accelerate their programs. Both students and faculty find Intersession to be a rewarding experience.
